Most people prefer not to think about unexpected catastrophes. It is
always seen as something that happens to others. However, as we all
know, it is all too common, especially for the International Expatriate
in Asia.
At Ernest Maude we are not looking to sell Insurance to those who
do not need it. However, as responsible financial planners we will
review your current arrangements and help identify any potential
problems, which you or your family may face.
Protection can take many forms, some obvious and well known and
others, which may be new to you. Life Insurance, for example, is used to
provide a cash sum on the death of an individual. Do you have dependants? If
so, they would surely benefit from some financial assistance to help in this
difficult time.
There are also “living insurances”. Income Protection, Critical Illness Cover,
Medical Insurance. For example, over 1,700,000 people in the United Kingdom
are currently unable to work for more than a year through illness or
injury. For people working and travelling in Asia, the risk of contracting a
serious, debilitating illness is considerably higher.
At a meeting with one of our Account Managers they will help you to work out
the insurance cover which you currently have, personally, or through your
Company. What is it? What does it do for you? When would it be available?
Then identify any shortfalls and provide recommendations for you to consider.
